Holiday Resales Conducts First Timeshare Web Seminar

Attendees experience first-ever virtual timeshare webinar without leaving the comfort of their homes.

SEATTLE – November 21, 2006

Holiday Resales, a division of Holiday Group, just concluded the first-ever timeshare presentation done live on the Web. One hundred participants signed up for the free seminar or "webinar" and attended via their home computers. Holiday hosted the webinar from their headquarters in Seattle.

The webinar included interactive polls and an extended question and answer session. Each attendee received ARDA's Consumer Guide to Vacation Ownership and a complimentary one-year subscription to Timesharing Today magazine.

"This turned out to be an amazing event," said Holiday President David Skinner. "It was a lively exchange of questions and information from the basics of timesharing to some insider secrets. Considering the rousing response, I'm sure we'll be making these online webinars a regular thing."

Gail Bennett, a ten-year professional in the timesharing industry and Holiday's Director of Sales, conducted the webinar and spoke with audience members about the facts and fictions of vacation ownership.

"The turnout was phenomenal," Ms. Bennett said. "It was refreshing to see so many people being proactive in their desire to learn about timesharing. People are savvier today about doing their own research, and webinars allow them to do so on their terms."

Among the topics Ms. Bennett explored were: How to use the web to do your research; how to select the best timeshare for your family; exchanging to popular and exciting locations; and the benefits of buying resale versus retail timeshares.

Lisa Ann Schreier, author of "Timeshare Vacations For Dummies," and founder of Timeshare Insights (www.timeshareinsights.com), applauded Holiday's efforts to help consumers navigate the sometimes-confusing world of timeshare.

"Despite what the mainstream timeshare industry believes," said Ms. Schreier, "a better educated consumer is the industry's best friend."

Recent statistics show that over four million households in the U.S. own timeshares (often more than one), but uncertainty over how timesharing works has prevented many consumers from considering vacation ownership.

"Holiday Group is making huge strides in removing the mystery that has always surrounded timeshares," Ms. Schreier said. "Consumers will now be able to get the unbiased information they want without being pressured to make a purchase."

Bennett added, "It's important to us to help people determine whether timeshares are the right product for them. We're looking forward to doing so in this innovative and no-pressure webinar."

Consumers interested in attending future webinars may email Holiday to be notified of future webinar dates and topics.
