Getting More Out Of Your Vacation Dollar:

Owning a timeshare gives you more for your money and saves you time and frustration. You get larger and roomier accommodations. Most all timeshares have kitchenettes, or full kitchens so you save money on food, & drinks. You can plan your vacation much easier when you own your own timeshare. You can make sure your vacation is fun, relaxing and enjoyable because you don't have to run around looking for the perfect hotel that may have one night open but not the next.

Timeshare Exchanging:

Just because you own a timeshare, doesn't mean that you have to keep going to the same place over and over again. In fact, one of the greatest benefits of owning a timeshare is that you can trade your vacation time for stays at other resorts throughout the world! Even if you decide you don't want to use your timeshare for a year or two, you may want to think about an exchange close to home. A Timeshare is a great way to let your out of town guest visit in comfort, and allow for more room as well as for more enjoyable visits.

Before You Begin

Top

Have realistic expectations. Your decision to purchase a timeshare was a commitment to quality vacation time, and not a financial investment. Have a set rental price in mind, and be sure to clearly state all details of the unit your renting out. Remember you could be liable for damage renters cause. You may want to do a background check on your rental request.

If your renting a timeshare be sure to get as much information on the unit you will be renting, such has how many people may stay in the unit, what days, and times must you check-in and check-out. Ask about any other restrictions or things you should be aware of.

Create a Rental Agreement

Top

You should have a rental agreement prepared ahead of time and make sure you are fully aware of unexpected circumstances such as the renter backing out at the last minute because they find a better deal. If you are renting a timeshare be sure that you clearly understand the rental agreement and have good communication with the person doing the renting.

Research the Competition

Top

To help determine a price for renting your timeshare, find out what similar units are going for at your resort and at comparable resorts in that area. Check out resorts, hotels, travel sites, and other sites that rent out timeshares.

A Quality Resort and an Enjoyable Vacation
While the value of any timeshare is based upon location, resort reputation, size of unit, resort amenities, and season, the things you will want to note above all are the quality of the resort and the types of activities nearby.
