In northern California, the coastline is a little more dramatic with steep, rocky cliffs and rougher waters. This is the area that draws the surfers, scuba divers and water sport enthusiasts. This is where you will see marine life such as sea lions, seals and whales or explore the tide pools for smaller specimens. Beachcombing is another favorite pastime here.
