The smoketree lodge is a private a relaxing resort nestled among the woods near the town of Boone. A wealth of activities await in the area for both summer and wintertime enjoyment. In winter, enjoy downhill skiing at the nearby Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, or Beech Mountain resorts. There is also a number of cross country trails in the area. In summer, enjoy golf, hiking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. On-site, enjoy the indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, exercise room, or sauna. The on-site restaurant is excellent in case you decide to relax instead of cook. Nearby enjoy horseback riding, tennis, or a number of water sports at the nearby lake.
